I love spring time in the Rockies and Archer’s Poudre River Resort is a perfect setting to enjoy all that spring has to offer when the mountain peaks begin to shed their layers of snow as the waters of the Poudre River rise and the Rafters and Kayakers brave the swift river descent. That said, I have to admit that the total Peace and Tranquility of September and October when the Rocky Mountain forest come alive with the vibrant colors of the changing leaves captures my heart. The bright yellows, oranges and gold mixed with all shades of green take your breath away. The aspen groves are in their glory. The fall colors begin to show first, up the Poudre Canyon and over Cameron Pass to Walden. As the temperatures dip, the colors flow down the canyon to Archer’s Poudre River Resort and below. Late September and early October would be a perfect time to plan your stay at Archer’s Poudre River Resort. With 500’ of Poudre River Frontage, you will have lots of room to explore and enjoy the fall nip in the air.
